A client story film screened during the client segment of Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency's 2026 Annual Meeting in Detroit, MI, where real Wayne Metro clients tell their own stories in their own words. Jasmin, one of the agency's 2026 Empowerment Awardees, was in a dark, toxic housing situation while trying to find the right school for her daughter Harlem, who has autism. Wayne Metro covered back rent twice and then a security deposit on a new place, and that stability let her get Harlem into a better school district and start working toward buying a home for her and her daughters.
